SHOULD I BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?
For each trip there will be a specific equipment list. Bring your own equipment if you wish, but if you're a beginner and want to be outfitted with a complete state-of-the-art package (including rod, reel, lines and rigging, etc.), tell us and we'll provide it and at a special expedition discount. Remember that one size doesn't necessarily fit all. FFL's staff will assist you in preparing properly for the trip (www.riversedgeokc.com).

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING?
A sense of adventure and anticipation of challenge and fun.

WHAT WILL I DO DURING THE WEEK?
You'll have a ball honing your fishing skills, or developing them from scratch. You'll work one-on-one with some of the world's best and most experienced instructors and guides. You'll share the company and philosophies of your select group of extraordinary colleagues. And you'll have as much time as you want to fish or relax on your own.

IS IT ONLY FLY FISHING?
No, we'll take advantage of the opportunity to examine the nature of our relationship with, and impact on, the environment. We'll also reflect on the nature and the mystique and romance of fly fishing itself. Discussion and reflection will take place during the day and at informal sundown gatherings. Over refreshments and hors d'oeuvres, during dinner and later each evening, FFL founder Kenny Fischer, an experienced business coach, will act as facilitator for these optional informal sessions.

WILL I BRING HOME A TROPHY FISH?
For the most part this is a "catch and release" experience, for reasons you'll become aware of during the week. Your trophy can be a much more significant and lasting memory of a unique experience in nature and your newly acquired fly fishing skills. Distinct from most sports your fly fishing abilities, like fine wine, should improve with age.

CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME?
Yes, as long as there is room. Remember we limit Fly Fishing for Life™ journeys to a maximum of 10 persons per trip. We welcome friends, professional associates, spouses or significant others, however, fly fishers get first consideration. As you may know when it comes to mastery and enjoyment, fly fishing is an equal opportunity recreation.

WHERE WILL OTHER FFL TRIPS GO?
That could be up to you. Future sites will be selected by Fly Fishing for Life™ alumni, staff and adventurers. We'll chase fresh water fish in lakes and streams from Alaska to the Sierras, from Chile to Russia as well as saltwater dwellers the world over. On subsequent trips, you'll find yourself fishing for Redfish and Speckled Trout along the Gulf of Mexico, Tarpon, Permit, Tuna and Billfish in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, Stripers in the California Delta or off Cape Cod and Bonefish from the Bahamas, Belize, Mexico, Christmas Island, The Seychelles and the just opened waters off New Caledonia, home of the some of largest Bonefish on the planet.

WHAT WILL MY JOURNEY COST?
Depending on the locations, the accommodations and the support and equipment provided by Fly Fishing for Life™, the cost will range from $4,500 to $7,500 per person, plus travel to your Journey Rendezvous Point. Add about $1,200 if you want to purchase a state-of-the-art, lifetime warranted rod & reel. Each journey has a specific list of required equipment. Costs to purchase new equipment will vary depending on the manufacturer.

CAN I ORGANIZE A SPECIAL GROUP TRIP?
Yes, we'll arrange for expeditions built around corporate and family groups. A phone call to Kenny will begin the process of custom building a trip to just about any fishing destination you can dream of.
